Ottawa born, Christie was always considered to be a creative person. Throughout the course of her design career, Christie has gained an immense amount of knowledge while working for tract home builders, custom residential design build firms as well as private commercial and residential developers. Today, she has the privilege of working as Owner and Lead Designer at Suite Spot Design with her amazing clients, focusing on high end residential interiors.

She has had the opportunity to lead design projects of all shapes and sizes while collaborating with clients from all walks of life. She has gained over 12 years of design experience in the field and now tackles both residential and commercial projects.

Christie believes that interior design should be approachable and fun. She prides herself on not taking things too seriously and continues to “demystify” the sometimes overwhelming world of design and construction. Her ability to adapt and work with a wide range of design styles and genres is what gives her such a diverse portfolio. She takes the time to educate her clients on the various design products available on the market so they can make conscious and informed decisions that are aesthetically pleasing and suitable to their lifestyle. Even though renovating and building a home can be quite daunting, Christie’s fun, lighthearted approach paired with her knowledge and experience ensures that her clients enjoy the design process just as much as the final outcome.
